As a musician I always wanted two major accomplishments before I either died or retired from the field: 1. Have a decent sized fan base and 2. Have a music video. For me, having a music video is a special, it shows that your music can merge with another art form and be successful together with it. The main problem with getting one is finding someone who is really interested in doing it and having that person follow though with it. A good example, I’ve had over 5 different directors shoot a music video for me or tell me that they were going to do one and in the end they either never got off the ground or it died half way through filming. I thought I was cursed to never have a music video…that was in till Templar Pictures came into the scene.
Templar Pictures is run by Erica Behringer, a personal friend of mine and a rising talent in the future of the directing field. When she approached me about doing a music video for Future Fear I was more then happy to say “Yes” Little did I know how much work goes into shooting a piece like this and Erica did it all flawlessly.
In as little as three weeks she wrote the full script for the video, got a hold of two different locations for the shooting, arranged casting calls and interviews via the internet. When it came down to actually shooting things, Erica IS the director, she’s confident and gives her cast a firm idea of what they should be doing when they are acting out their scene. She kept everything and everyone in line and shot all the footage she needed from her actors in a matter of hours. The result? You see it above you: Insanely great editing, excellent syncing, lighting and overall premise of the whole video. Her skills blow away many music videos I’ve seen done, including professional ones.
The bottom line: If you’re looking for a music video to be done, I can’t recommend Templar Pictures enough! Erica will get your video completed for an excellent price and have you looking like a star.
