Myself and thousands of others experience a huge Zune 30 Bug.

Author: unleadedlogic  //  Category: Uncategorized

This morning when I awoke, I decided that I was going to play some tunes while I worked on a web site. The odd thing was my Zune was stuck in its start up screen and even after putting in the reset buttons to restart the player, the device refused to restart.

As it turns out, thousands of other owners are experiencing the same issue and say that it was about 12:01 AM this morning when the issue started. So along with myself many Zune users are stuck looking at a loading bar on a Zune.

I will say that this is the first major issue I’ve ever run into with my Zune. I’m sure once the battery dies it can be fixed; but damn is this annoying.

I wonder if President elect Obama had his Zune freeze on him?!

"We are aware that customers with the Zune 30GB are experiencing issues with their Zune device. We are actively working now to isolate the issue and develop a solution to address it. We will keep customers informed on next steps via the support page on zune.net (zune.net/support)." – Microsoft Zune Support Site

Christmas Break.

Author: unleadedlogic  //  Category: Uncategorized

Well, I have to say that this Christmas break was pretty awesome. For the first time in 7 years, I actually didn’t have to work on Christmas Eve! It was quite nice! This year was also the first Christmas that we had our entire family over for the holiday and all the preparing for that went without a hitch. It looked like everyone had a good time and it was also good to see my Grandma again, she actually opted out of a major surgery because she didn’t want to miss coming over to our house for the first time. It really must of meant something to her then; I hope she enjoyed it.

I made out like a bandit gift wise this year!

Rick, Cathie and her little brother got me a pretty kick ass stack of Playstation 1 games! Including all the Crash games, Final Fantasy 7 and Tactics, Metal Gear Solid, Dino Crisis and more! All of them were in awesome condition considering how old the games are! They were perfect additions to my ever growing game library that is coming close to reaching 500 games! Thanks guys!

Shawn (Of Beyond the Name Tag fame) said that he’d let me have both Final Fantasy 8 and 9, so my Final Fantasy collection will pretty much be complete! I’m actually itching to play 8 and 9, as 8 as one of my favorites and I never played 9.

My parents hooked me up with a Harman Kardon Surround Sound System which works perfectly with my PS3 and Xbox 360. Games and movies really sound kick ass on it; especially the new Wipeout!

My wife spoiled me as well with a 60 gig drive for my Xbox 360, a tool set and a couple of awesome t-shirts. Toss in The Metal Gear Solid Complete Collection and a winter jacket and I’m set! She always knows what I want even if I don’t say anything.

I also got a variety of gift cards and more stuff from lots of people! Thanks you everyone and merry x-mas! I hope you enjoy the stuff I got all of you. :)

Gaming wise I played lots of Fallout 3 and completed most of the extra quests on the game. With it finally being finished I plan on letting Rick borrow it in the next few days to see what he thought. Originally I wasn’t too interested in the game, but I ended up really getting into it after restarting and playing it on the Xbox 360.

Now I’m just doing some cleaning up and rounding up all my stuff for work tomorrow and hoping that ADP will have their issues fixed with our payroll system. I have to to do a complete report of all my expenses tomorrow so the quieter it is the better.

Two days of work though and its back to another 5 day weekend! Can’t beat that!

Unleaded Logic to provide a song for Dracula X: Rondo Chi Revisit.

Author: unleadedlogic  //  Category: Uncategorized

I has been asked to provide a song for the upcoming Playstation 1 Homebrew Game, "Dracula X: Rondo Chi Revisit". The homebrew project is currently wrapping up its final tweaks on level designs and its awaiting sound effects and music.

I will be providing two remakes of music tracks: Den and Cemetery and also providing my own original track for the game.

Resident Evil 5 Preview.

Author: unleadedlogic  //  Category: Uncategorized

I recently had a chance to play though two levels of Resident Evil 5 and I have to say other then one issue the game is pretty damn good and I’m pretty sure I’m going to pre-order this sucker.

Pros:

  • Awesome graphics and sound; with crisp cut scenes.
  • The addition of two player co-op is amazing and will lead to some awesome and exciting situations.
  • Sheva is hot.
  • Ammo and health seems to be more abundant then the other games, which is good for the large amount of enemies present.
  • Interesting storyline continues the mystery of the Resident Evil series.

Cons:

  • You can’t move while shooting or using your knife. This tends to get annoying at time when using the knife or trying to get away from a really huge enemy. You can move while shooting a gun in Gears, so you should be able to do in RE5 as well.

Other then that the levels that I played were awesome and very tense with lots of enemies on screen and lots of close calls. A demo is due out soon for North American audiences. Exactly when that will happen is unknown.

Another Plasma Sword canned.

Author: unleadedlogic  //  Category: Uncategorized

MRMS78507lg People waiting to get their hands on the Master Replica’s Halo Plasma Sword can stop waiting as it seems that Master Replica’s has canceled the Plasma Sword.

Any reference to the Plasma Sword has been removed on the Master Replica’s web site including links to pre-order it and a link to the official video preview of the item. One link that was still listed for the sword takes visitors to one of the small Halo replica weapons.

To add to proof that the sword has been canceled Entertainment Earth has officially listed the product as canceled on their web site. I tried contacting Master Replica’s via phone about the situation but they refused to give me any information it.

So Halo fans, looks like your hopes of owing a LED Plasma Sword are over…I wonder what happened?

Mirror’s Edge:

mirrorsedge

Even with its sharp graphics, Mirror’s Edge twist on the first person shooter becomes less and less unique as you progress further into the game. A awesome electronic soundtrack pumps the player up as they jump from building to building, but the player is then suddenly brought down to a crashing halt, by annoying bugs and twitching control elements. Even the lackluster story fails in the end with the obvious hint of sequel instead of a truly accomplished ending.

Verdict: 3 out of 5 stars.

X-MAS LIST

Author: unleadedlogic  //  Category: Uncategorized

What am I asking for X-mas this year? A variety of stuff. I figured I’d post it here as I think about what I wouldn’t mind seeing this year.

Of course with the economy the way it is, budgets are tight for people. So don’t take this as a hint that you have to get me anything. You really don’t.

DJ Tiesto Interview.

Author: unleadedlogic  //  Category: Uncategorized

I like a good amount of Tiesto tracks, so please don’t take this that I’m hating on Tiesto; but watching this made me laugh pretty hard so I thought I’d share it.
