Nintendo Power Supplies Catalog 1993

Author: unleadedlogic  //  Category: Uncategorized

Being a home schooled kid sucked for the most part and the days of being home 24/7 till I hit 5th grade was pretty boring. The days the mailman dropped off the newest issue of Nintendo Power magazine though, were like a holiday for me and I read the damn things cover to cover.

Back in 1993, Nintendo Power introduced its newest feature to the Nintendo Power Super Power Club with its Supplies Catalog, featuring limited edition Nintendo merchandise. As you can imagine, I shit a brick when I saw all the cool stuff in this catalog. Now that I got a hold of some old issues of Nintendo Power from a friend, I figured I’d show this catalog off; as you can’t seem to find these catalogs on the net.

The most interesting item in this catalog by far is the Star Fox cart, as these days they go for a pretty penny on eBay and here you could get it for 40 bucks. These carts go anywhere from 250 to 500 now.

Author: unleadedlogic  //  Category: Uncategorized

A review of the brand new Capcom Girls Collection Street Fighter Cammy Statue! A very detailed statue and represents Cammy during her Killer Bee phase from the Street Fighter Alpha Series!

Before Cammy became a heroine, she was a villain, brainwashed to be a super soldier and assassin of the Shadaloo. Presented here in a statuesque PVC figure, Cammy stands at attention as that brainwashed soldier codenamed Killer Bee. Crafted by master sculptor Mitsumasa Yoshizawa (REFLECT), the beautiful and obedient Cammy stands approximately 10 1/4-inches tall and comes with display base all packaged in a collector style window box

10 years ago…Sega had a Dream…cast…

Author: unleadedlogic  //  Category: Uncategorized

Its hard to believe that 10 years have already passed since Sega’s last video game console, the Dreamcast graced store shelves for its short amount of time of existence. On 09.09.99, people took home a extremely powerful white box that sadly never got the chance to live up to its full potential. For those few short years though, people played the hell out of Dead or Alive 2, spent months playing Phantasy Star Online and took the arcade fighting experience home with the many Capcom and SNK games that were out for it. Plus, this was the system where the famous Soul Calibur series got started.

I picked up my Dreamcast 6 months after the release along with a VGA adaptor and man was I blown away at how good the thing looked on a VGA monitor. Playing games like the brand new Resident Evil was a blast and the fact that 3 other people could play on the system with me at the same time was awesome. House of the Dead 2 was a great example of how fun it was to play with people; my friend Joe and myself armed with our plastic guns and unlimited bullets tried time and time again to beat the final boss off the game, but never succeeded. Man, was that game intense though. My best memory about the Dreamcast though was how easy it was to get homebrew content running off the thing. A few months down the road, I was burning Rom discs with Nintendo emulators and playing old school games to my hearts content. I should of jumped at the chance to pick up a bunch of Dreamcast systems on the cheap back when I worked at EBGames. They were blowing them out for 10 bucks! 10 bucks! Like a dumbass, I sold mine a few years prior and had no idea I’d ever want to pick it up again. Well, obviously I wanted to play it again, and now I have two units…go figure. Anyone who had the machine though will know how much fun the thing was, so lets think way back to 99 and remember those kick ass games we played! Long live the Dreamcast!

Retrogress gets retired.

Author: unleadedlogic  //  Category: Uncategorized

My debut album, Retrogress has been officially retired as of today; its links were removed off the website a few minutes ago. The decision to remove it was pretty much on my own accord, it doesn’t stand the test of time for me and there are far too many obvious mistakes on it that make me want to pull my hair out every time I hear a track off it. So for those of you who got it before it was removed, consider yourself blessed…or cursed.
